  • Ombudsman Ontario: The Ombudsman investigates complaints about services provided by the government of Ontario and its organizations and conducts systemic investigations on important issues about government services.

  • Interagency Youth Working Group - Youth InfoNet: This one-stop electronic source contains new publications and information on youth reproductive health and HIV prevention. It generally features new program resources with links, such as tools, curricula, program reports, and unpublished research findings, as well as summaries of peer-reviewed research papers published in the last month on developing country research. Links to all publications from this page.
  • It's Your Health: Tuberculosis: Describes what TB is and how it is spread, what the symptoms are and how it is diagnosed and treated. Distinguishes between TB infection and TB disease, and lists risk factors for TB transmission.

Concludes that "Although the overall quality of medical reporting in the general media remains poor, this study showed modest improvements in some areas. However, the most striking finding was the continuing very poor coverage of health news by commercial current affairs television programs." ;.
  • Media Doctor Australia (The Newcastle Institute of Public Health, Australia): Reviews the quality of current Australian news stories about medical drugs and treatments, to help you decide if a story provides the information you need to make an informed decision. The five-star rating assigned by the editors reflects the quality of the story based on jounalistic best-practice criteria, which vary depending on the type of story being discussed.
