He doesn?t have any stakes, but he balls his fists and figures a broken nose can?t feel any better to a demigod than it does to anyone else. [...] ?I don?t know why it took me so long.? Footsteps approach and circle the cluttered table where Sam?s sitting, until the trickster?s right across from him. ?I pride myself that sexual deviancy is the one thing I can always sniff out. I like dirty laundry, and it turns out, Sam, you reek of it.?"

- But you're so busy changing the world (Sam/Dean, R, 8,094 words): Atmospheric, slow, lyrical. Wherein Sam waits for Dean to change his mind, and they don't talk about it. "Sam?s the one who says I love you, because he thinks Dean needs to hear it to believe it. Dean?s the one who presses the words into Sam?s skin with his tongue, drawing the letters out slow and hot with his rough, calloused fingers."
September 2nd
- Excelling Violet (The Miner's Lamp remix) (Sam/Dean, PG-13, 6698 words): Very nicely written, although the colour scheme idea should've been explored further. I'm not sure how it constitutes a remix though, they have barely the prompt in common.

- The Dark Mirror (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 15,631 words): Wherein they hunt a Gorgon in the swamps of Louisiana and there's Erised's evil-ish twin - which is used as a plot device in the same way as every HP fic ever.

- Forever Tuesday Morning (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 1141 words): Hilarious and hot. "On what he decided was the hundredth Tuesday, mostly because it felt like it, he realized that he didn?t really have an excuse to be having gay sex with his big brother anymore."

- Communion (Dean/Sam, NC-17, 14,300 words.): This takes blasphemous to a whole new level of eternal damnation. On Ash Wednesday, Sam tries a mix of rituals to save Dean.
- All the times we were me and you (Sam/Dean, R, 4000ish words): One snapshot for every episode, from the pilot to NRFTW. Absolutely fantastic writing. "In Greenville, Illinois .... Sam swipes away one fat teardrop with the pad of his thumb and catches a glimpse of his brother underneath.&qu ot;

- Debts and Promises (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 29,000 words): Absolutely fantastic first-time story set sometime in an AU-ish S3. An old case, old issues, and Dean's advice. "It was always that way with you, picking up things. Once it became important to you, you'd study it until you understood it all."

- Let the Eleventh Hour Pass Me By (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 5783 words): Post-Mystery Spot, up until Sam gets Dean out of hell. Schmoopy angst. "It' s my life," Sam says, muscle in his jaw working, stubborn as John ever was. "I traded my soul for it!" "Doesn� 39;t make it yours"

- when we kissed, you rained stars into my mouth (Sam/Dean; PG; 1,605 words): Lyrical, atmospheric, lovely. "There� 39;s a moment--there& #039;s always a moment, Dean knows--where things could go a different way, a hundred different ways. He could turn his head, push Sam's hands away, curse or yell or laugh."

- thought I could let you go in grace (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 1623 words): 314 Coda. "It?s not something they talk about, ever. It exists outside the rest of their lives, a little like fake identities and fleeting platinum credit, not quite real but? useful. Necessary sometimes. Just another secret to keep."

- Singular and Plural (Gen, PG-13, 1,863 words): Dean notices the changes in Sam. "Dean realizes for the second time that he doesn?t want to die, because if this is what happens when he does, then Sam won?t have died, but he won?t be living, either."
