The need to keep up with the court proceedings of Kodos' trial has infected even the most diligent of crewmembers. While in theory Spock lauds all attempts to gain further knowledge, this is a step into the realm of the ridiculous he cannot condone. He's about to confiscate the projector from Ensign Dreyfuss, when he's stopped by the sight of the object of his ire, moving across the projector' ;s frame. Captain Kirk in full formal regalia, taking the stand.

He's not even out of sickbay and already they're there. He can't even *think* and they want him to tell them what Kodos said, what he did, what he was like. "It' s important, son," one of them says. The feeding tube just came out last night, and Jim's throat is raw and aching.

  • st_xi_kink: PART THREE: Tarsus IV fallout + Kirk/McCoy. It becomes public knowledge or at least spread on the Enterprise somehow and people are surprised that Jim Kirk has layers and is strong and a survivor (multiple times over) and shit. I want crew realizing that they don?t really know Kirk, not at all ? except maybe for Bones. And then the crew tries to reconcile their insights of layered!Kirk with their previous notions of a cocky has-not-a-care -in-the-world- and-it-shows Kirk.
