  • Ring Girls: She was a cocktail waitress at Caesars Palace, one of the same bevy of beauties who plied their trade inside the hotel. These lovelies were pressed into service carry ring cards between rounds. Though she remains unidentified, she became the first in a long line of leggy wonders to become a Ring Girl. I like to think of her as the Ring Girl. She took her skills to the canvas after the first round of the George Foreman-Ron Lyle fight in 1976 - and strutted her way into the record books.

  • Frank Shamrock showboating: That?s why I found it so interesting to hear Shamrock?s post-fight comments. His demeanor was so completely different from the leering personality he displayed in the cage. He was two different people. Judging from those comments, Shamrock seemed genuine, thoughtful and took the time to consider each of his remarks.

  • Liddell vs. Rua in Montreal: Pikey: Well Lad, as much as I am now considerably less certain of my choice for the winner in this bout after hearing your selection, I still favor the loutish Liddell. It is my considered opinion that the dusky Rua?s knee does indeed seem likely to collapse again under assault from his most worthy opponent. If one of you gentlemen could kindly refresh my coffee, I would be most pleased. It seems, as you well know, to be the most effective balm for my dispepsia.
